University of Queensland

The University of Queensland, is an Australian public research university primarily located in Queensland's capital city, Brisbane. Founded in 1909, UQ is one of Australia's oldest, most selective and comprehensive universities. The main campus is located in St Lucia, southwest of the Brisbane City Central Business District, with other major UQ campuses in Gatton, Herston and Ochsner Medical Center's clinical school at New Orleans, United States of America. The University of Queensland is a member of the Australia's research-intensive Group of Eight, the global network of research universities Universitas 21 and a founding charter member of EdX, an online higher education consortium led by Harvard and MIT.

Research achievements at UQ includes pioneering the cervical cancer vaccine invention and development of high performance superconducting MRI magnets for portable MRI scanning of human limbs. UQ has produced numerous distinguished alumni with significant contributions to Asia Pacific and throughout the world. Several notable examples include the Nobel Laureate winning scientist Dr Peter Doherty, "Triple Crown of Acting": Primetime Emmy Award, Tony Award and Oscar-winner Geoffrey Rush, three times Grammy award winning musician Tim Munro, former Chief Justice of the High Court of Australia Sir Gerard Brennan, Chancellor of University of California, San Francisco Dr Sam Hawgood, Principal of King's College London Dr Edward Byrne, CEO of Dow Chemical the second-largest chemical manufacturer in the world by revenue Andrew N. Liveris, first female Governor-General of Australia Dame Quentin Bryce, former Singapore's Minister for Defence, Minister for Manpower, present Chairman of Keppel Corporation and Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) Dr Lee Boon Yang, consecutive Olympics gold medal winner David Theile and global top two most cited academic (by h-factor), world-renowned clinician Dr Graham Colditz.

Monash University

Monash University is an Australian public research university based in Melbourne, Australia. Founded in 1958, it is the second oldest university in the State of Victoria. Monash is a member of Australia's Group of Eight and the ASAIHL, and is the only Australian member of the influential M8 Alliance of Academic Health Centers, Universities and National Academies.

Monash is home to major research facilities, including the Australian Synchrotron, the Monash Science Technology Research and Innovation Precinct (STRIP), the Australian Stem Cell Centre, 100 research centres and 17 co-operative research centres. In 2011, its total revenue was over $2.1 billion, with external research income around $282 million.

The university has a number of centres, five of which are in Victoria (Clayton, Caulfield, Berwick, Peninsula, and Parkville), one in Malaysia. Monash also has a research and teaching centre in Prato, Italy, a graduate research school in Mumbai, India and a graduate school in Jiangsu Province, China. Since December 2011, Monash has had a global alliance with the University of Warwick in the United Kingdom. Monash University courses are also delivered at other locations, including South Africa.

The Clayton campus contains the Robert Blackwood Hall, named after the university's founding Chancellor Sir Robert Blackwood and designed by Sir Roy Grounds.

Nepal Engineering College

Nepal Engineering College was established in 1994 as a non profit institution under private sector initiative. The foundation of NEC was laid by few visionary Nepalese professionals and academicians who realized the need of an institution serving the technical education needs of the country for accelerated economic growth, reaching to wider section of Nepalese students and making the quality technical education accessible and affordable to the masses. This pioneering example set by NEC led to the establishment of a number of engineering colleges in the country in the private sector in the later years. It is one and only engineering college in Nepal with an ISO standard certificate. Also, the visionaries had an adapt knowledge of the easy money that could be churned out of the education industry in this country. Henceforth they came up with an idea of an engineering college in an isolated area. NEC meets all the standard of a complete engineering college and its products are well scattered in the market as very competent employees in some reputed organisations, many of the students from NEC are pursuing master's and PhD colleges abroad like USA, Australia and Europe as well. The Chairman of NEC Mr. Lambodar Neupane was awarded with "Manager of the year" by Oxford summit of leaders, London.

B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences

B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences (BPKIHS) is a medical institution in Nepal. It was established in 1993 in Dharan, a city located in Sunsari district in eastern Nepal, and subsequently upgraded as an autonomous Health Sciences University on Oct 28, 1998.

The Institute is an example of Nepal-India co-operation. BPKIHS has postgraduate, undergraduate, and university certificate programs. It has four colleges: Medical, Dental, Nursing, and Public Health with a 700-bed Central Teaching Hospital.

BPKIHS is governed by the B. P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences Act, 1993.
B.P. Koirala Institute of Health Sciences, established in 1998and upgraded to a university in 1998, is an autonomous health sciences university. Its goal is to meet the health needs of the eastern region of Nepal at the primary, secondary, and tertiary levels. BPKIHS is a self-governing body.

BPKIHS is one of the largest projects implemented through Indo-Nepal co-operation. The university is named after the late B.P. Koirala, a former Prime Minister of Nepal.


Nepal College of Information Technology

Nepal College of Information Technology, commonly known as (NCIT), is the top Information Technology (IT) college in Nepal. It was established in the year 2001. Its campus is located at Balkumari, Lalitpur. The college currently offers Engineering and Management courses at the Bachelor's and Master's levels. It is affiliated with the Pokhara University.
